About Us
Mateas Berries is a producer and processor of organically certified sea buckthorn. Behind this name are we, Călin and Ramona Mateaș.
The idea for this business started from my husband’s passion for agriculture, as he is a horticultural engineer by profession.
Currently, we own a 7-hectare plantation in Salonta, Bihor County.
We cultivate an indigenous sea buckthorn variety, and the plants are obtained from certified nurseries, ensuring superior quality. Sea buckthorn loves water, which is why we installed a drip irrigation system at the root of each plant, thus saving a lot of water.
We let nature do its work, which is why our plants grow only with water and sun.
Services
Because we strongly wanted our products to be found on Romanian tables, we decided to process most of our production. Thus, we created several products:
– Sea buckthorn syrup with honey
– Sea buckthorn juice
– Sea buckthorn jam
– Sea buckthorn oil
Our products can be purchased all year round.
A very important aspect I want to emphasize is regarding the sea buckthorn syrup.
